Originally hailing from Baltimore, MD, following her undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill, Amanda moved to Washington DC where she worked as a consultant for the Department of Defense’s Patient Safety Program and became interested in supporting youth through public health programs while volunteering for the DC LGBTQ+ Center. In 2014, she returned to school for her master’s degree at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing on social and behavioral interventions. For 3 years, Amanda worked with the Baltimore City Health Department on a program providing support services, such as housing and counseling, to youth in Baltimore City. She moved to Culver City with her husband in December 2017 and has been enjoying biking, hiking, and exploring all that the area has to offer. Amanda is currently the Program Manager at Walk With Sally, a nonprofit serving Los Angeles County that provides hope through individualized mentoring and community support services to empower children experiencing trauma through a loved one’s cancer journey.
