Jeanne Schnitzer Marks
Jeanne Schnitzer Marks is a beloved and active member of the Tower Cancer Research Foundation community where she serves on the Board of Directors and Chairs the Development Committee. A former Chair of Tower’s psycho-social committee, Jeanne was instrumental in helping guide the strategic vision of Tower’s psycho-social patient support programs.
Passionate about wellness and safety, Jeanne’s philanthropic interests reach beyond Tower. Jeanne serves on the Community Security Initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Beverly Hills Police Chief’s Advisory Panel. She is also actively involved with the Beverly Hills Fire Department. Jeanne is a former co-chair and current member of Today’s and Tomorrow’s Children’s Fund at Mattel UCLA Children’s Hospital, and a founding and current member of the Circle of Giving for the Women’s Health Center at OHSU/Oregon Health Sciences University.
Jeanne holds a BA degree from Lewis & Clark College and a MS in Special Education from Portland State University. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1982, Jeanne worked at a private reading clinic in Portland, Oregon for ten years and served as president for five. For over twelve year she was an organizational consultant in a variety of industries and worked for six years in fundraising and consensus building at FTA Events in Beverly Hills. Jeanne currently sits on the board of her family’s multi-generational business.
