This grant from TCRF will support Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA to lay the foundation for a comprehensive program that will improve outcomes and survival for all patients with cancer ages 13 – 25 served by the UCLA health system to be successfully implemented among three sites, UCLA, Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach. The UCLA Daltrey Townshend Teen and Young Adult Cancer Program’s will ensure that adolescent or young adults (AYA) patients undergoing treatment have complete access to psychological support, palliative services, child life services, and a social worker, among others.
