A grant from TCRF will go toward’s Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation (VACF)’s Cancer Navigation and Survivorship program, which aims to address the unmet needs of logistical, informational, emotional and psychosocial support in Vietnamese American cancer patients/survivors and co-survivors who face barriers of cultural stigma about cancer and lack of awareness and support on different aspects of cancer survivorship. Cancer Navigation and Survivorship program is an innovative cancer support program providing linguistically and culturally appropriate community outreach, group and/or one-on-one education, individualized patient navigation, peer-to-peer cancer support (one-on-one and/or group) and a variety of other enabling services such as crisis counseling, care coordination, language assistance, technology support, weekly food pantry, linkage to transportation, and financial support, etc.
