Family Assistance Program
Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California
Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California (CCFSC) works directly with families to identify their need for support. Direct interaction with each family allows them to better understand the individual and general need of each family. Emergency assistance including transportation assistance, grocery/household item assistance, hospital meal vouchers, Doug-out temporary housing, and bereavement or funeral assistance will be provided to families in coordination with hospital social workers. Working with hospital social workers allows the Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California to efficiently identify their social, educational and emergency needs and how to best assist each individual family. Communication with another family experiencing this devastating disease is very beneficial to each family member.
