Breast Cancer Explained
This content was originally created by the Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. It’s been given to the Tower Cancer Research Foundation for use as an ongoing resource and as part of the Dr. Susan Love Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
Breast cancer is a complex disease. There are several subtypes of breast cancer and many options for treatment. While many people may have similar diagnoses or are prescribed similar treatments, no two people’s experiences are exactly the same.
The content in this section is intended to educate and inform patients and their families and friends. Much of the information draws directly from the recently revised 6th edition of Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book. It is constantly being updated and new material is added as research continues to expand our understanding of the disease and its current treatments.
