Tower Cancer Research Foundation (TCRF) is pleased to announce a request for applications for cancer research grants including multiple Career Development Grants and at least one Senior Investigator Grant.

These grants will include:

  • Career Development Award: $100,000
  • Senior Investigator Award: $500,000 ($100,000 annually for 5 years)

The focus of our cancer research grants is funding basic scientific research to uncover the mechanisms by which cancer develops and spreads, creating a path to effectively treating and preventing the disease.

We recognize that many important breakthroughs come from unexpected directions and differing perspectives. TCRF encourages young physician-scientists to explore novel research hypotheses with our one-year Career Development Grants.

TCRF also recognizes the importance of supporting senior investigators in their well-established research programs. To that end, we will award at least one five-year grant to a world-renowned scientist to fund their novel research hypotheses in molecular biology or therapeutics of cancer.

Submissions are due by Friday, October 14, 2022, at 5 pm (PST).

This year, TCRF has transitioned to a new online grants management system for applications. Any prior applicant submission information is not available in the new system. Grant applications, reports, and forms moving forward will be available via the new system, SM Apply. Here you will find detailed information on how to apply, grant guidelines, eligibility, etc.

Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the submission. Based on the caliber of submissions in previous years, we anticipate the applicant pool will be very competitive. Applications will undergo a rigorous vetting process by our esteemed Scientific Advisory Board which identifies the best ideas and brightest investigators in cancer research.
