Barry Rosenbloom, MD

Dr Barry Rosenbloom was born and educated in NYC and after Medical School came to LA in 1971 to enter the Harbor-UCLA internship and residency training program where he later became Chief Resident in Medicine and subsequently completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He entered private practice in 1976 and is a founding member of THOMG. He served as Chief of Staff at CSMC from 1989-1990. Committed to both patient care and education for the past 40 years, he has published over 100 scientific papers, abstracts, and book chapters. He has become a nationally recognized expert in the genetic disorder known as Gaucher disease. Because of his academic and educational achievements he was appointed to the rank of Clinical Professor of Medicine at both the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also a Fellow to the American College of Physicians. In addition, he also is a long-term participant of the North American Board of the International Cooperative Gaucher Group. He has been married over 45 years to Beth and they have two daughters, Michelle, who is a school teacher and Lauren, who is an Art Director.
