Dr. Tsai is investigating how iron metabolism influences atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT), a rare and aggressive pediatric brain cancer. This research explores ferroptosis, a newly identified form of iron-dependent cell death, with the goal of identifying new treatment strategies that are more effective and less harmful for young patients.
